The Agerran Commonwealth

Representatives from all three major governing powers have come with the new colonists, in order to help establish the beginnings of a colonial government. You are here as part of the Agerran Commonwealth faction. It is vital that Phaelos III join the Commonwealth, for a number of reasons. For one thing, having the first colony since the Homeworld War willingly join the Commonwealth cements its legitimacy as the dominant power in the galaxy. Just as importantly--but more secretly--the Agerran High Command believes that the ruins on Agerre are home to a number of powerful relics, which might prove useful in the coming war.

Most of you are high enough in Agerran politics to know that Agerre is indeed stockpiling ships for a new war, as is rumored in much of the galaxy. The fleet is waiting, and if things go wrong on Phaelos III, they are ready to jump in and take the planet by force if need be. But as politicians and negotiators, you're determined to take control of the planet through less violent means. This doesn't need to devolve into bloodshed. Joining the Commonwealth is the best option for the new colony, and you'll be the ones to convince the other colonists of that. You know the Galactic League reps are going to be trying to sell their bland society to the new colonists, and you're happy to prove them wrong and argue them down until they give up and go running home like they always do.

When it comes to day-to-day politics, most of you are primarily concerned with infrastructure and defense. Your faction is working to establish things like basic transportation, energy, farming, resource distribution, and water purification systems. Structures and hierarchies are important to you. The safety of the colony is also very important. You have little tolerance for crime, and are determined not to let organized crime take root in the colony. Of course, the safest thing for the colony to do is to join the Commonwealth. Hopefully they'll understand that soon.

Description:
When the Agerrans took Zé, some among the Peakborn saw it as a tragedy. To you, it was an opportunity, a chance to move to an even higher Peak. You were one of the people who had reached out to the Agerrans in the first place, inviting their conquest. Without the protection of the U.A.W., you and your compatriots had seen a dangerous and lawless future. The Peakborn had grown used to U.A.W. forces keeping them safe from sky pirates and uprisings from the Sunken, and you needed new protection to maintain peace and stability.

You yourself always had a different approach to keeping peace with the Sunken in your life. You chose one among them, Z. Keza ((Joe Landolph)), and funded their education and ascension to live among the Peakborn. It was controversial, but it meant the entire Keza family was loyal to you. What’s more, it redirected any resentment among the other nearby Sunken towards Keza and away from you. You and Keza have worked together ever since, though you suspect Keza has always harbored mixed feelings towards you.

When the war ended, the Agerrans rewarded you for your support by placing you as one of the Acting Authorities maintaining life on Kaldir, one of the colonies under Commonwealth control. You spent almost a decade there, with Keza at your side, before transferring back to Agerre itself. It was a strange time, but you did good work on Kaldir, keeping the population pacified and under control.

While on Kaldir, you were wed to one of the locals, Loen, and had a child with her. You were not good with children. It was important to you that your child be brought up properly among the Peakborn, and so after a few years on Kaldir, you sent Loen and your child back to Zé to live with your extended family. Your child, S. Hakuha, is now nearly an adult in their own right, which is somewhat unsettling to you. You barely know your child, but… they are not your priority. You have other things to focus on.

For the last few years, your primary goal has been to advance the place of Zé within the Commonwealth. Since it joined, it has always been subordinate to Agerre itself, and often ignored by the Agerrans and the other ministers. You want to change that. You’ve been working with A. Zaivan ((Rebecca Roycroft)), an ambitious up-and-coming minister. Your longstanding connections have helped Zaivan, and in return you’ve had someone putting forward the cause of Zé centrality in government.

Your most recent assignment is a major step forward for that. You’ve been assigned to be the personal aide to S. Hajé ((Zhyliana Garcia)), the leader of this expedition, right hand of Grand Minister Divar. Hajé is perhaps the most powerful Zé-born politician in the ministry, despite being barely half your age. Being closer to Hajé is perfect for you, and you’re quite happy to work to support them in their work here. Together, you’ll prove to the rest of Agerre why Zé should matter to all of them.

Light: You care immensely about Zé culture, and are an agent of order in a galaxy too often on the brink of chaos. You were born into power, and know how to wield it to stabilize and improve Zé society.
