The Performers

What is a galaxy without art? Not one worth saving, obviously. You are the dashing, the bold, the brave, the creative. You are a group of artists who have joined the Distant Light for one reason: to bring art to Phaelos III, a world that has not known it for thousands of years. Of course, it’s also a massive publicity stunt. The eyes of all the galaxy will be on Phaelos III, and you’re all here to perform the first big art shows, put on the first concerts, and make your names go down as legends. After all, isn’t that what art is all about?

Description:
Some might say you grew up on the wrong side of the law, but the truth is that you grew up on a world entirely without law. Wasteworld was a wild place, where you collected trash and fought to survive. Where some were bitter, though, you kept your fear at bay with sarcasm, learning to crack wise rather than just crack. Yours was a world left abandoned by the Ancients, a world they had disposed of and ignored. You grew up deeply bitter towards them, but also endlessly curious. Every piece of trash that surrounded you and made up the geography of your home was another mystery, a question the answer to which you would never know.

You found your way offworld with the help of D. Lim Baro ((Hazel Court)), a genuine Dor Len Princess. She had come to Wasteworld to look for ancient artifacts, but she found you instead. You helped her get away from her family and the guards and researchers she traveled with; she helped you get off the planet. The two of you have been partners in crime ever since, traveling up and down the length of the galaxy. Sometimes you’re thieves, sometimes you’re vigilantes, sometimes you’re on the trail of ancient treasure. You’ve always got each other, though, and you’re always having a good time.

For a good long while you were a trio, bringing along T. Tidechaser ((Valya Barboy)), a forgetful dream-eyed young adventurer. You got into all kinds of hijinks and trouble, and maybe broke some laws, but you always got away with it. The three of you got caught up in a Quest--a proper one that deserved capital letters. You caught wind of a rumor, at first so outlandish you didn’t believe it, that somewhere in the galaxy, a group of Ancient Dawnlight Paladins had been cryogenically frozen, waiting like human icicles since before the Eschaton in some ruin somewhere. It was wild, but you were determined to track them down and thaw them out, and probably ask them some questions about how things used to be.

Eventually the trail brought you back to Wasteworld. You didn’t want to back there, but it was where the next clue pointed. You were determined to get offworld as soon as possible. Tidechaser ran off, separated from you and Lim Baro, and you knew almost immediately there would be no way to find them again. They were forgetful and whimsical and already prone to getting lost. As soon as you found the next clue, you got offworld, even thought it meant leaving Tidechaser behind. You’re not proud of that, but… you couldn’t stay. If you’d stayed there much longer, you would’ve gone mad.

So instead you kept moving. You spent some time hiding out in the backyard of F. Sapora ((JPol Polin)), a rich kid on Windrock who you periodically stopped off with and entertained with grand tales. You were smugglers for a while, going from ship to ship, but that never lasted. You kept moving, and kept busy, and kept tracking the next clue, and the next, and the next.

The most recent clue pointed to Phaelos III, to the Ancient ruins that the first expedition came here to study, thirty years ago. You’re not sure if this will lead you to another clue, or if maybe--just maybe!--this will finally bring you the Ancient lost Paladin you’ve always dreamed of finding. That meant getting to Phaelos, though, which meant figuring out a ticket aboard the Distant Light. Rather than pay for one, you managed to get in touch with Q. Starflower ((Kat McConnell)), a flamboyant and famous performance artist. You negotiated the deal in a bit of a hurry, so you’re not quite sure--you’re either Starflower’s bodyguards, or part of the next big show. You’re fine with either one. The important thing is that you and Lim Baro are on your way to Phaelos III, and with it the next step in your Quest.

Light:
You are extremely loyal to those that deserve it. To have you as a friend means to have you forever, and you will do anything, even die, for anyone you consider one.
Dark:
Questions need answering, always. There is just something that rubs you the wrong way if there is something in your life that you do not know the answer to. You will easily jump to extreme methods if there is an answer that you could get to but for some reason can’t.
Questions:
  1. Who are your friends?
  2. What will you do when you find the Paladins?
  3. What is your greatest regret?
  4. How will you avoid authorities looking into your criminal past?
Relations:
F. Sapora ((JPol Polin))
T. Tidechaser ((Valya Barboy))
D. Lim Baro ((Hazel Court))
Q. Starflower ((Kat McConnell))
